NJ Licensure Requirements
The New Jersey State Board of Dentistry requires the mandatory completion of forty (40) hours of continuing education for license renewal, which takes place every two years. For registration renewal beginning on November 1, 2021, the following 10 hours must be completed as part of the 40 required hours.
One Hour in Prescription Opioid Drugs
Two Hours in Preventing and Controlling Infectious Diseases
Three Hours of Pharmacology and Internal Medicine
One Hour in Professional Ethics and NJ Law Concerning the Practice of Dentistry
Three Hours with Practical Hands-On Certification for CPR
